Terms of use

These terms cover use of the Lingua desktop application, the web build at app.linguacode.dev, and the marketing site at linguacode.dev. By installing or using Lingua you agree to them.

The software is provided as-is

Lingua is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. The developer is not liable for data loss, system damage, or any other consequence of using or being unable to use the software. You assume responsibility for backing up anything you care about.

License tokens

Pro and Pro Lifetime tokens are bound to your purchase. You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly share a Pro token. Doing so revokes your license. You may install Lingua on multiple machines you personally own; the activation limit is enforced client-side via the offline verifier.

Team seats

Team licenses are issued per seat. A seat may be reassigned within your organization at any time. Seats may not be shared concurrently between people.

Education program

Eligibility for the education program is verified at issuance. Education licenses are issued for one year and renewable on continued eligibility. Misrepresenting eligibility revokes the license without refund.

Acceptable use

Lingua executes whatever code you write. You are responsible for what you run. Do not use Lingua to attack systems you do not own, distribute malware, or violate the law of your jurisdiction.

Source-available license

The source code published in the public repository is governed by the Lingua Commercial License. These terms supplement but do not replace that license.

Changes

These terms may change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will surface material changes in-app and on this site.
